What to Look for in a Contractor Dumpster Rental

Contractors juggle enough on a job site without wondering whether the dumpster shows up on time or fits the debris pile growing by the hour.

At EPIC Dumpster Rental, we’ve spent years working alongside builders, roofers, and remodelers across the region. Along the way, we’ve learned what contractors look for in a rental.

Here’s what we recommend considering before you book your next roll-off dumpster.

Dumpster Sizing Options for Your Job Site

Container size affects how often debris needs to be hauled away and how much room the dumpster takes up on the property.

Our 20-yard and 25-yard roll-off dumpsters work well for many construction, remodeling, roofing, and cleanup projects. The best option depends on the type of debris involved and how much material you expect to remove.

Tell us what you are working on when you schedule your rental. We can talk through the project and recommend a container that fits the expected load.

Accepted Materials

Job sites produce a mix of materials, and dumpster companies follow disposal guidelines that affect what can go into a roll-off container. Roofing shingles, drywall, lumber, and mixed construction debris typically fall within what we haul away.

We recommend asking about materials before the container arrives. Our team can explain what is accepted and answer questions about the debris your project will produce.

You can also visit our Frequently Asked Questions page for more detailed lists of what can and cannot be put into our dumpsters.

Delivery Access

Roll-off delivery requires enough room for the truck to enter the property and place the container. Narrow drives, parked vehicles, overhead wires, trees, gates, and active equipment affect access.

Choose a clear area that you can reach while leaving room for your crews and other vehicles. The dumpster also needs to remain accessible when pickup day arrives.

Please mention any access concerns while scheduling so we can review the location and discuss a placement plan.

Driveway and Property Protection

Roll-off dumpsters carry serious weight, and dropping one directly onto asphalt or a concrete driveway risks cracking or gouging the surface. When requested, we place protective boards underneath the dumpster before delivery, creating a buffer between the container and the driveway or parking lot.

Let our team know when you want boards included with delivery. We will prepare for the request and account for it when placing the dumpster.

Pickup and Swap Options

We know how a full dumpster can take up valuable space when work is still underway. Our team makes pickups and swaps easy so your crew can continue working without unnecessary delays.

When your container is ready, contact us to schedule pickup. Larger projects may call for a swap, so we can remove the loaded dumpster and replace it with an empty one.

We’ll do our best to coordinate the service around your project timeline and job site activity.
